Conceptual narrative:
"THE IDEA INSIDE THE ECHO" is a monumental, high-relief circular sculpture (tondo) that serves as a visual representation of sound waves, internal resonance, and the genesis of thought. The composition comprises a hypnotic series of concentric, flowing ridges radiating from a central core, mimicking physical echoes, acoustic waves, or the smooth topography of molten silver solidifying in space. The fluid movement of metallic silver lines cutting through unyielding, velvety black abysses creates a powerful graphic and volumetric tension. This avant-garde work of art is designed to attract attention, bringing an atmosphere of elegant futuristic luxury, industrial mysticism, and sophisticated contemporary drama to premium contemporary interiors.
Visual and Sculptural Impact:
The artwork boasts a substantial overall thickness of 7 cm (2.8 in), with multi-layered hand-cut incisions ranging from 2 to 3 cm (0.8 to 1.2 in) deep. Its circular, biomorphic silhouette softens the harsh lines of contemporary interiors. The main recesses are finished in an ultra-matte, light-absorbing black, casting heavy architectural shadows. In stark, luminous contrast, the smooth, undulating curves are coated with high-quality metallic silver pigments that capture the surrounding light, highlighting the flowing folds and transforming the sculpture into an ever-changing spectacle depending on the angle of light throughout the day.
Technique and Craftsmanship:
Meticulously handcrafted through an intensive, highly skilled, multi-week sculpting process. The work is executed on a durable, round, artistic wood panel. The sculpture features an internal, dotted, reinforced structure, guaranteeing absolute structural strength and preventing deformation under a 10 kg weight. The complex, fluid relief is created using high-quality polymer compounds, followed by precise, continuous hand carving, sculpting, and hand finishing to achieve seamless, flowing lines. The piece is then coated with high-strength cement and structural plaster mixtures, painted with water-soluble pigments, and finished with a high-quality, water-soluble protective acrylic varnish for absolute durability and UV resistance.
