"NEURONS IN FLOW"
The work explores the philosophy of transformation, interconnectedness, and constant movement within living systems. Inspired by natural mechanisms and the depths of the sea, it creates a sense of an inner world filled with the flow of life and the harmonious resistance of time.
Conceptual narrative:

"NEURONS IN FLOW" is a monumental, non-geometric sculpture in high relief exploring the sublime, fluid energy of aquatic and ethereal elements. Executed as an elongated, biomorphic monolith—reminiscent of a rough, precious slice of azurite mineral or a fossilized ocean rock—the work centers around a mesmerizing, hand-carved vortex or geothermal spring. Dynamic, continuous waves of rich turquoise, blue, and deep azure radiate from a shimmering, gilded crystalline center. This impressive, avant-garde work of art captures the essence of underground hydrothermal springs and mineral vents, imbuing luxurious contemporary interiors with an atmosphere of absolute organic luxury, meditative tranquility, and powerful drama.

Visual and Sculptural Impact:

The artwork measures a substantial 7 cm (2.8 in) in overall thickness and features multi-layered hand-carved incisions and reliefs ranging from 2 to 3 cm (0.8 to 1.2 in) in depth. The complex, multi-textured surface serves as a rich, tactile canvas, painted with water-based acrylic pigments and coated with high-quality gold leaf (potale). Low-lying channels, microcraters, and a central vortex are selectively filled with high-quality, glossy, hypoallergenic resin. This technique creates a stunning "wet look" that perfectly mimics flowing water trapped within the stone, dynamically enhancing the intensity of the blue pigments and creating shifting, glass-like reflections as the angle of light changes throughout the day.

Technique and Craftsmanship:

Meticulously crafted by hand through a highly disciplined, multi-week process of sculpting and painting. The base is constructed on a durable, custom-made plywood board. The sculpture features an internal, point-reinforced structure, guaranteeing absolute structural strength under a 7 kg weight, specifically designed around a complex central spiral. The complex biomorphic relief is achieved using high-quality polymer compounds, followed by precise, continuous hand carving and hand finishing to create sharp ridges and deep linear valleys. The piece is then coated with high-strength cement and structural plaster mixtures, painted, gilded, and selectively coated with museum-grade resin and protective varnishes for maximum durability and UV resistance.

Hand-made mixed media high-relief sculpture and painting (plywood, polymers, plaster, cement, gold leaf, selective hypoallergenic resin, water-based acrylic paints)
