Conceptual narrative:
"Moment of Secrets" is a captivating high-relief circular sculpture (tondo), conceived as a profound visual meditation on the theme of inner peace, mystery, and hidden emotional depths. Completely freed from rigid geometric constraints, the artwork takes on a subtly undulating, biomorphic circular silhouette. The composition presents a hypnotic sequence of continuous, hand-carved spiral waves that elegantly curl inward toward a deep central core—perfectly evoking the layered petals of a dark obsidian rose, a celestial vortex, or a psychological labyrinth. Using a stark monochrome palette of uncompromising, velvety matte black, the sculpture absorbs the surrounding noise, becoming a silent anchor, guarding its secrets in the shadows. The custom-made round plywood base guarantees absolute structural strength under a 5 kg weight, preventing any risk of deformation over time. The complex biomorphic topography is achieved using high-quality polymer compounds, followed by precise hand carving and hand finishing to create each individual seamless ridge, concentric fold, and central focal core. The piece is then coated with high-strength cement and structural gypsum mixtures, painted with deep black water-soluble pigments, and finished with a high-quality water-soluble protective matte varnish for absolute durability and UV resistance.
