This work is about inner strength and infinity. Lines and shapes, like a swirling wave, invite one to look within and discover the light hidden within. This monumental, high-relief, circular sculpture is a captivating exploration of cosmic contrast and fluid energy. Formed as a perfect tondo, the work represents a state of transformation, where raw, obsidian-black matter splits, revealing veins of molten liquid gold. Sweeping, biomorphic waves evoke the power of volcanic flows or tectonic shifts. The base is a specially designed, durable round plywood board, internally dotted to safely support a substantial 15 kg weight. The complex topographical volume is sculpted using high-quality polymer compounds, followed by precise hand carving, hand cutting, and sculpting to define expressive ridges and deep valleys. The piece is then coated with high-strength cement and plaster mixtures and finished with matte water-based acrylic pigments. Gilding is applied with metallic gold foil. The gilded areas are coated with high-quality resin. The black parts are coated with water-based varnish for complete UV protection and durability.
