PROGECT
"PEARL OF CHAOS"
MATERIALS:
plaster, acrylic, varnish
A contemporary bas-relief in the vein of biomorphic abstraction. The composition is built around a concentric spiral and its emanating layers, creating rhythmic folds and deep furrows. On the left edge is a hole-like depression, creating a dialogue between mass and emptiness. The surface texture and alternating bulges and depressions enhance the effect of chiaroscuro modeling, imbuing the work with a sense of internal dynamism and frozen movement.

"DEPTH OF ILLUSION"
The spiral is like a palm, holding a moment before a choice. The dark surface preserves the steps of the past: each fold is a memory, each depression is the exhalation of what remains unsaid. The opening in the edge seems to invite the gaze to peer inside, where time condenses and stretches upward again. The work is about how a single movement of the spirit folds infinity into a single form, only to release it back into space.
Conceptual narrative:

"Pearl of Chaos" is a monumental, non-geometric sculpture in high relief, exploring the captivating concept of order hidden deep within cosmic and natural chaos. The organic, horizontally elongated silhouette completely rejects traditional framing, beautifully imitating a fossilized deep-sea shell, the complex fossilized folds of exotic flora, or molten volcanic matter frozen in motion. Intricate concentric waves on the left swirl inward, creating a symbolic central core—a quiet, structured "pearl" born from the chaotic, undulating waves surrounding it. This impressive avant-garde work of art is intended to bring an atmosphere of museum-quality opulence, unbridled Brutalist power, and exceptional contemporary drama to premium contemporary spaces.

Visual and Sculptural Impact:

This masterpiece boasts an exceptional and rare overall thickness of 22 cm (8.7 in), with dramatic incised ridges and deep folds reaching depths of up to 15 cm (5.9 in). This impressive volume transforms this piece from a traditional wall panel into a striking, fully three-dimensional wall sculpture. Finished in an uncompromising, unwavering matte black, the entire aesthetic is based entirely on the movement of light. The contrast between the finely crafted, knife-sharp ridges and deeply carved recesses creates an intense interplay of deep, architectural shadows and soft highlights that constantly shifts as natural light moves through the room throughout the day.

Technique and Craftsmanship:

Meticulously handcrafted through an intensive, multi-week sculpting process. Custom-made plywood base. The sculpture features an internal, point-reinforced structure, guaranteeing absolute structural strength despite weighing 10 kg. The complex biomorphic relief is created using high-quality polymer compounds, after which multi-level indentations, subtle linear textures, and a deep through-hole on the left are hand-cut and shaped. The piece is then coated with high-strength cement-gypsum mixtures, painted with deep black water-soluble pigments, and finished with a high-quality water-soluble protective acrylic varnish to ensure absolute durability and UV resistance.
