"THE DUALITY OF SILENCE"
This bas-relief embodies the idea of inner duality and the search for balance. Its sinuous forms reveal a harmony of contrasts: light and shadow, calm and storm, silence and noise — all united in a single movement. He invites the viewer to reflect on the invisible line between different states of mind and how internal contradictions shape our integrity. The work seems to whisper that true understanding is achieved in silence and the conscious perception of one's inner voices.
Conceptual narrative:

"DUALITY OF SILENCE" is a monumental, high-relief circular sculpture (tondo) that offers a profound reflection on balance, contrast, and inner peace. The composition presents a contemporary interpretation of existential dualism, dividing the canvas into two intertwining, symbiotic forces. One half is enveloped in an absolute, light-absorbing matte black, while the other rises into a luminous, fluid wave of metallic silver. The organic, undulating contours mimic the silent rotation of a galaxy, liquid metal gliding through the darkness, or the smooth topographical layers carved by time. This striking, avant-garde work of art brings an atmosphere of refined Zen opulence, powerful contrast, and elegant contemporary sophistication to prestigious spaces.

Visual and Sculptural Impact:

The artwork boasts a substantial overall thickness of 7 cm (2.8 in), with multi-layered hand-cut incisions and folds ranging from 2 to 3 cm (0.8 to 1.2 in) in depth. The circular form softens the rigid boundaries of contemporary architecture, while the sharp separation of textures creates an ever-changing visual experience. A velvety matte black section creates deep architectural shadows, while smooth silver curves capture diffused light, highlighting the smooth biomorphic folds and allowing the sculpture to dynamically interact with the changing daylight throughout the day.

Technique and Craftsmanship:

Meticulously handcrafted through an intensive, highly skilled, multi-week sculpting process. Created on a durable, round plywood board, the sculpture is precision-studded and internally reinforced to ensure absolute structural strength and prevent any risk of deformation under a 10 kg (22 lb) weight. The complex, flowing relief is created using high-quality polymer compounds, followed by precise, continuous hand carving and hand finishing to achieve seamless, smooth ridges. The piece is then coated with high-strength cement and structural plaster mixtures, painted with water-soluble pigments, and finished with a high-quality, water-soluble protective acrylic varnish for absolute durability and UV resistance.
